2025 POP-UP Christmas Card
很開心有機會跟請多紙教立體書工作室一起合作2025年度的聖誕卡片。
聖誕節為西方文化而言是歡慶聚首的節日，為東方文化聖誕節的意義是什麼？成為天主教教友之後對聖誕節的認識已經跟以往不一樣了，我認爲這是一個為人世間帶來祝福的日子。
因此以「傳遞祝福的天使」作為表現這次卡片的主體。
I am thrilled to have collaborated with 請多紙教 KIST Pop-up Studio on their 2025 Christmas card project.In Western culture, Christmas is a season for celebration and homecoming, but what does it mean within an Eastern context?Since becoming a Catholic, my understanding of Christmas has evolved. To me, it is now a day that brings profound blessings to the world.Inspired by this, I chose "The Angel of Blessings" as the central theme for this card design.
卡片內呈現的是天使翅膀構成的將臨圈（在聖誕節前象徵來臨的傳統裝飾物，通常會有四根蠟燭裝飾其中象徵等待基督來臨），在正中央的星星是白冷／伯利恆之星，耶穌基督降臨，也就是聖誕樹頂端裝飾的星星 — 用這樣的構成方式象徵天上的眾天使們捎來隆重的祝福帶給人世間。
The interior of the card features an Advent Wreath formed by angelic wings.An Advent Wreath is a traditional symbol of "coming" leading up to Christmas, typically adorned with four candles to represent the anticipation of Christ's arrival.At the very center lies the Star of Bethlehem, signaling the birth of Jesus Christ—the same star often seen crowning the top of a Christmas tree.Through this composition, I want to symbolize the heavenly host of angels bringing profound blessings to the world.
當初在構想概念的時候是由我先發想概念、及呈現的立體結構方向，再與請多紙教KIST討論，畫出上視圖，側視圖整個一塌糊塗（汗）。KIST則是很有效率地跟我解釋要用什麼結構可以讓這樣的概念完美呈現，面對專業實在是驚嘆不已。
During the initial conceptual phase, I led the creative vision and the direction of the pop-up structure.I then brought these ideas to KIST from 請多紙教. I have to admit, my initial side-view sketches were a total mess (sweat).However, KIST efficiently guided me through the technicalities, explaining exactly which structures would bring my concept to life perfectly.I was truly blown away by their technical expertise.
